Joshua Hernandez is a lifelong Illinois resident. He currently resides in the Garfield Ridge neighborhood and is a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. He attended Northeastern Illinois University where he graduated with a degree in finance and linguistics. Being the son of a first responder, Joshua understands the issues that concern public employees. Joshua’s mother, who immigrated to the United States from the Philippines, allowed Joshua to understand the pride and importance of becoming an American citizen.
